Can't Be Me

Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits

I love biscuits and sausage gravy. This is one of those recipes that goes right into comfort food. I don’ t alter recipes to be fat free or calorie reduced.

If you haven’t noticed since they have started this fat free and reduced or low calorie craze there are not lots of skinny people running around.

That’s because most of it is tasteless and non filling. It just makes you eat more.

I’d rather have good food and eat less if I have too.

When I throw in a healthy recipe it is only because it taste good.

Having said that here is one those with great taste.

I have tried different shortening but Crisco is the one that seems to work the best for me.

Another tip when making anything that calls for flour. Use a very fresh flour. I’m really lucky because we have a flour mill close to where I live. I only use flour from Lehi Roller Mills.
