For a quick recap on the previous day.
We cleaned and took hardware off all while having
twin 3 years old’s and a 7 year old “helping”.
Misty wanted to paint rather than stain.
This makes the job so much easier because now all we had to do was apply the primer.
I used the same thing as Blue Cricket design.
Great blog that a friend and neighbor of mine does. Check it out she is sooooo creative.
KILZ Original, which means it is oil based.
As much as I hate the oil base I feel like in the long run it will save me time.
I had purchased some rollers and brushes from the Dollar Store.
This makes them disposable.
I’m not even going to try to clean anything up from this.
Along with Misty we did our best to get the kids to have other
interests AWAY from this project.
Zach wasn’t leaving no matter what. He was hungry but managed to make a
table of the container that holds the paint supplies.
Very clever is all I can say. Just look at that grin.
Well Mom and Grandma have a few tricks up our sleeve too.
We convinced Abbie and Zach (one of the 3 year old’s right behind Abbie)
they should take the small artist brushes with all the
different colors and paint a picture on the back that could be preserved forever.
So while they made us some beautiful pictures
on the back we worked on getting the primer on.
I’m a little worried when we start the black paint. We could both tell that they were
starting to get bored with the picture on the back.
Both eyes were on paint brushes and black paint.
Let’s just home a good nights sleep will put them back to the picture.
To be continued…
